We welcome Lukas Becker from the DMB as a new member of staff at the ILH

We are delighted to welcome Lukas Becker to the ILH as a new member of staff at the DMB.
On the DMB website, Lukas introduces himself as follows:

"Hello everyone,

I’m Lukas and I’ve been working as a research assistant in the DMB Chair’s team since mid-September 2026.

My journey into Mechanical Engineering began on a very practical note. After gaining some hands-on experience in various companies, I completed my Bachelor’s degree as part of a dual study programme at the PHWT in Diepholz. There, I focused primarily on the design and production of chassis components for the automotive industry.

During my Master’s degree, I was already employed for some time as a research assistant at the University of Paderborn. I focused particularly on machining processes, such as ultrasonic milling. The positive experiences from that time, combined with my interest in furthering my career within an academic setting, ultimately led me to my current position at the DMB Chair.

I am looking forward to my time at the Chair, to many interesting projects, new experiences and, of course, to working closely with you all.

Kind regards

Lukas Becker"

We wish him every success in his future work!
