Circular Economy from a Belgian-German perspective

10th Belgium Day - Institute for Lightweight Design with Hybrid Systems will host on 10 June 2026

For a decade, the Belgium Centre has stood for lively interdisciplinary exchange - within Paderborn University and far beyond. The 10th Belgium Day at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is a special sign of this commitment: sharing knowledge, overcoming borders, shaping the future. This year's Belgium Day is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of the circular economy from a Belgian-German perspective: How can cross-border cooperation combine economic and ecological sustainability?

Experts from science, politics and business will discuss practical ideas - at Paderborn University and at the Gymnasium Theodorianum. As part of a ceremony with illustrious guests, we will reflect on what has been achieved on the occasion of the 10th anniversary: What partnerships, ideas and joint answers do we need in view of the economic, ecological and social challenges of our time?
