The ILH is delighted to welcome Jasper Stichternath, a new member of staff at the DMB, to the Institute.
On the department’s website, our new colleague introduces himself as follows:
“Hello everyone,
I’m Jasper and I’m delighted to have been part of the team at the DMB department as a research assistant since July 2026.
My journey to DMB began with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. My fascination with aerospace motivated me from an early age to engage intensively with engineering problems. For my subsequent Master’s degree, I deliberately chose the Industrial Engineering study programme at Paderborn University in order to specifically expand my knowledge to include economic and interdisciplinary aspects.
I first became acquainted with the DMB Chair whilst working on my master's thesis. In this thesis, I explored semantic technologies and gained fascinating insights into the research work carried out at the Chair. The positive experiences from this period, along with the opportunity to develop both academically and personally through a PhD, ultimately led me to continue my career at the DMB Chair.
I am now looking forward to working on exciting projects alongside my colleagues, tackling new research questions and contributing to the Chair’s current research topics. I am also keen to get involved in teaching in future and to support students on their academic journey.
I’m looking forward to many interesting projects and encounters.
Best regards,
Jasper Stichternath”
All the best for your future at the Institute!
